Alyssa Miller

Assistant Placement Director

Alyssa brings over a decade of hands-on experience working with children and families in
private homes, combining her educational background—a Bachelor’s in Education and a
Master’s in Human Development—with her deep understanding of the unique dynamics within
household staffing. After starting her career in childcare centers, she quickly realized her true
passion was working 1-on-1 with children in the home environment, where she could form
stronger connections and provide more personalized care.

Alyssa’s career took a pivotal turn in South Florida, where she began nannying for a family of
three in a large, formal estate. Immersed in the daily operations of such a sophisticated
household, she quickly developed a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in
maintaining a well-run home. Her contributions helped ensure the family's routines flowed
effortlessly. As their needs evolved, Alyssa was entrusted with the role of Lead Nanny, where
she took the initiative to recruit, interview, and train a team of childcare
professionals—establishing a standard of excellence across the board. Her role naturally
progressed into a hybrid Lead Nanny and Family Assistant position, assisting with many
household logistics and offering high-level support in all aspects of family life. With a sharp eye
for detail and strong leadership skills, Alyssa thrived in the fast-paced, high-responsibility
environment, becoming a trusted and essential presence in the home.

Alongside her expanding responsibilities, Alyssa was blessed with the opportunity to travel
extensively with the family. From snorkeling and jet skiing in tropical destinations to hiking the
Grand Canyon and exploring the countryside of Switzerland, these experiences enriched her
professionally—broadening her cultural awareness, deepening her adaptability, and sharpening
her ability to anticipate needs and support families across a variety of settings.

Now, Alyssa is excited to bring that same passion and expertise to Oceanside Staffing, where she
supports both emerging and seasoned professionals through the interview process, helping them
navigate opportunities and land their dream roles. She knows firsthand what it takes to succeed
in private service—and she’s here to guide others every step of the way.

When she’s not working, you can find Alyssa outside soaking up the sun—whether it’s hiking,
paddleboarding, playing pickleball, or relaxing on the beach. She shares her home with her
husband, a dog and two cats, and during football season, you’ll catch her cheering loudly for her
teams every weekend!
