About Oceanside Giving

Oceanside is a business with heart. We believe deeply that we exist to help all families in our community. 

Oceanside Giving is an employee driven, donation-based fund. Our primary focus is to assist in removing the many barriers our candidates face outside of the workplace. We know that success takes a dynamic support-system, and that’s what we do best.  Whether it’s financial aid for daycare assistance, education assistance or medical bills, we’re here to listen, understand and support. For us, Oceanside Giving is the greatest investment we can make in our team. If you feel like you qualify for assistance, please fill out a form below. 

 

At the start of each month, Oceanside Giving's review board will meet to discuss applicants. If you are chosen, you will be notified by one of our board members.

Stephanie Fosburgh

President of the Board

Stephanie is our Oceanside Giving President Elect. Stephanie Fosburgh has been a dedicated member of Farmers Insurance for over 24 years, holding various leadership roles throughout their tenure. Their extensive experience and commitment to excellence have contributed significantly to the company's success. In addition, Stephanie currently serves as the Vice President of the Farmers Family Fund since 2021, demonstrating their dedication to both the company and its employees.

Stephanie is a proud alum of Mid America Nazarene University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident through their participation in several esteemed programs, including the Olathe Leadership Graduate and Florida State University's Strategic Insurance Leadership Academy.

As an advocate for professional development, Stephanie has facilitated numerous leadership training sessions, covering topics such as DiSC, Change Management, and Diversity, Inclusion, & Belonging. Their expertise in these areas has empowered countless colleagues to grow and excel in their careers. Furthermore, Stephanie leads the Transformational Leadership Circle, where they inspire and guide others to achieve transformative growth both personally and professionally. With a wealth of experience and a passion for leadership, Stephanie continues to drive positive change and foster a culture of excellence at Farmers Insurance.

Christina Parton

Board Member, Treasurer 

Christina Parton is a dedicated bookkeeper with a passion for serving the nonprofit sector. She currently serves as lead controller for a private company in her community. Christina brings over 10 years of executive administrative experience to her role and has extensive hands-on experience overseeing financial functions in both corporate and nonprofit environments.

 

Before serving on the Oceanside Giving board, she spent five years as the board treasurer for an organization focused on impactful work in Haiti, where she collaborated with one of the largest nonprofit accounting firms in Kansas City, MO. Christina holds an Advanced Pro Certification in QuickBooks, underscoring her expertise in financial management.

 

As a married mother of four and grandmother of four, Christina has a special respect and appreciation for empowering young families. Having experienced the challenges of being a young mother herself, she understands the vital importance of a strong support system for achieving success.

 

Christina believes deeply in community and the power of collaboration, advocating that together we can achieve more. In her role as a board member for Oceanside Giving, Christina will oversee all financial functions, including accounting, donor tracking, government reporting, and donor communications.

Elizabeth Donnell

Board Member, Vice President

Elizabeth is a dedicated and passionate educator who has made significant contributions in education since her first teaching job in 2009. With a career spanning over 16 years, she has become the cornerstone of support and guidance for both new and experienced teachers.

As a mentor for new teachers at her elementary building, Elizabeth plays a crucial role in shaping the next generation of educators. She provides invaluable support, sharing her extensive knowledge and experience to help new teachers navigate the challenges of the classroom. Her mentorship fosters a collaborative and nurturing environment, ensuring that new teachers feel confident and equipped to succeed.

 

In addition to her mentoring role, Elizabeth serves on the Superintendent Advisory Board. In this capacity, she collaborates with district leaders to provide insights and recommendations on policies and initiatives that impact the entire school district. Her input is highly valued, as she brings a practical perspective from her hands-on experience in the classroom.

Elizabeth is also an active member of the BIST Behavior Vision Team, where she works to develop and implement strategies for positive student behavior. Her commitment to creating a supportive and effective learning environment is evident in her efforts to promote behavioral interventions that are both compassionate and effective.

Furthermore, Elizabeth contributes to the Instructional Team, where she helps to design and refine the curriculum and instructional practices. Her innovative ideas and dedication to continuous improvement ensure that the educational programs meet the diverse needs of all students.

 

Throughout her career, Elizabeth has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence in education. Her leadership, compassion, and expertise have made a lasting impact on her colleagues, students, and the entire school community. She continues to inspire and lead by example, making a difference every day.

Cheryl Hudson

Board Member, Secretary 

Cheryl brings over two decades of entrepreneurial and community service experience to her role as Secretary of the Board at Oceanside Staffing, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals through sustainable employment opportunities.

 

Before joining the board, Cheryl successfully owned and operated a housekeeping business for over 20 years, earning a stellar reputation for professionalism, reliability, and dedication to her local community. Her leadership and hands-on approach fostered long-lasting relationships and supported numerous families and businesses in maintaining welcoming spaces.

 

Cheryl's commitment to service extends beyond her business ventures. She has been an active volunteer, contributing her time and skills to various local initiatives that uplift underserved populations. Her ability to connect with people and her passion for community betterment make her an invaluable asset to Oceanside Staffing.

 

As Secretary of the Board, Cheryl leverages her organizational expertise, entrepreneurial insight, and deep understanding of community needs to help guide the organization's mission and strategic direction. She remains committed to creating opportunities that empower individuals and strengthen communities.

 

Now retired from business ownership, Cheryl focuses on her cherished role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She finds joy and inspiration in spending time with her four daughters, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, carrying forward her values of love, resilience, and service into every aspect of her life.
